The Mayor’s London Borough of Culture award brings Londoners together. It puts culture at the heart of local communities, where it belongs, illuminating the character and diversity of London’s boroughs and showing culture is for everyone.

Ealing’s art and culture is both historic and cutting edge, celebrating the talents and traditions of the diverse communities that make our borough such an amazing place to live.
From the home of British film to the roots of British Rock and Bhangra, we’re proud of our heritage.
Our Cultural Manifesto sets out how we want to use culture to bring communities together and make this an even better borough for all 367,100 of us. If successful with our bid, the funding and activity will help us achieve this and leave a lasting legacy for generations to come.
We are going for 2025 but we will also be bidding to be London Borough of Culture 2027.

St Mary’s Perivale, now one of the leading classical music venues in the UK, broadcasting over 100 concerts to viewers across the world, would be happy to lend support to the Ealing bid.
Hugh, Perivale
Have studio space to hire out to local artists who can work alongside other creatives that work with different mediums – jewellery, pottery, textiles, glass, art etc.
Bottlebee, Hanwell
A venue where people know that they can go out and have a good old sing-a-long in a safe, comfortable and community friendly environment.
Chris, West Ealing
More music on the street would be brilliant, open air salsa classes, tai chi in public squares, free book share corners; art exhibitions on Ealing Broadway empty shop fronts.
Taina, Ealing
Access for all to creative activities, especially children, young people and also for the elderly. This is an age group that can be so easily forgotten about.
Nicole, Acton
Art galleries, nature activities and competitions (grave bike, running etc), photography fairs, graffiti artists, and murals.
Eddie, Hanwell
Indian drums and dancers would be really good.
Neelam, Southall
It would be nice something fun for the children to do, like a bowling alley, or a cinema.
